On Friday, November 9/22, the Cathedral of St. Nektarios of Pentapolis in Toronto, Canada, celebrated its feast. This is the Cathedral of His Eminence, Metropolitan Moses of Toronto. Present for the feast were His Eminence, Metropolitan Moses, clergy from the Toronto diocese, Fr. Ignatius, Archdeacon Agathangelus, and Deacon Theologos from Holy Ascension Monastery in Bearsville, NY, as well as many faithful.

In the early 20th century, the idea of promoting the union of Churches (Orthodox and heterodox) began to gain ground among circles in the Eastern Orthodox Church by establishing a "Communion of Churches" modeled on the League of Nations.
