Two New Bishops Join American Eparchial Synod

The Holy Metropolis would like to announce that His Eminence Moses, Metropolitan of Portland, and His Grace Sergios, Bishop of Loch Lomond, have joined the Eparchial Synod of the Church of the Genuine Orthodox Christians of America, under the Presidency of His Eminence Pavlos, Metropolitan of America, by decision of the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece, under the Presidency of His Beatitude Archbishop Kallinikos of Athens and All Greece, in its meeting held on Tuesday, April 20, 2011 (o.s.). The two bishops will soon travel to Greece to seal this union in a sacramental manner, and will stay for approximately two weeks to become familiar to and familiarize themselves with the clergy and faithful of our Church in Greece.
